Nancy Olson is the Senior Park Naturalist for the Collier County Park Ranger Service, Parks and Recreation Department, responsible for developing the educational and outreach programs for the Park Ranger Service. Olson received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin and has over 25 years of experience in the field of museum management and education. In addition to her museum work, Olson has participated in archaeological investigations in Texas, Arizona, and Florida. She joined the Collier County Park Ranger Service in 2001.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass, April 4, 2003 – When Nancy Olson's name was read out on Broadway as one of the top eight competitors after International Selections, her fans and fellow U.S. National Selections competitors erupted with cheers and applause. Olson, a U.S. Marine Corps Public Affairs Officer, was placed 5th, giving her an excellent selection of competitors to choose from as potential teammates.

When Nancy Olson entered college, her father told her being involved in worthwhile community projects was just as important as getting good grades. Nancy embraced her father’s words, charting a course as a lifelong volunteer. In each season of her life, Nancy worked the front lines, volunteering for a myriad of organizations, from school and church groups to high profile community boards. Nancy spearheaded development of the Senior Activity Center sponsored by Rockford Women’s Club. She led fund drives that raised mega dollars for local charities. For her efforts, she earned in 1994 the YWCA’s Marcella Harris Award for Community Service.

Nancy Olson wurde für den Film entdeckt, als sie als Studentin an der Universität von Los Angeles Theater spielte. 1950 heiratete sie den Musicalautor Alan Jay Lerner. Nancy Olson (1979) was ranked among the top International Wheelchair Tennis Federation players and won a silver medal in doubles at the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta. As a student at SRU, Olson was active in club and intramural sports including volleyball, softball, basketball and flag football. She was ... involved in the SRU adaptive physical education program for the physically and mentally challenged. She lost both of her legs in an automobile accident in 1983.

Nancy Olson, a venture investor in health-related businesses, has been elected to a four-year term on the Hampshire College Board of Trustees effective July 1. She is a resident of San Francisco.
