Nana 2 Nana Osaki is a punk-rock singer with a style to match, and Nana Komatsu... known as Hachi, a small-town girl who moves to Tokyo to start a new life. They meet on a train, and their destinies are sealed. Viz Media, the English translator of the manga, often refers to the girls as "Nana O." and "Nana K." because in the Japanese manga the girls' names were spelled using different characters, making it easier to determine which Nana people were talking about.
Nana GN 5 Nana K. is going home - for an awesome Trapnest concert! She drags Nana O. along, convinced that somehow Ren will sense his ex-flame in the audience. But life is never that easy, and Nana O. isn't sure if she even wants Ren back. As for Nana K., is she prepared for Trapnest to come down off the stage and into her life, or will her fan-girl attitude land her in a heap of trouble?

Nana anime The characters in Nana have complex personalities and their own histories, which sometimes intertwine with one another. The importance of each character grows in the manga as the story progresses to many dramatic heights and falls. The two main characters in particular, Nana O. and Nana K., support each other greatly, as evidenced both in the story and in the narration, which is done by either Nana at the beginning and end of each volume.
picture: Nana (2005) Nana is actually the story of two Nanas, sultry rocker Nana Osaki (played by sultry rocker Mika Nakashima) and bubbly Nana Komatsu (Aoi Miyazaki), who is soon dubbed Hachi by Nana Osaki. Both girls share a name, an age and boyfriend trouble. While Hachi has moved to Tokyo to be closer to her childhood sweetheart Shoji (Yuta Hiraoka, the boy in Swing Girls), Nana is seeking to make it as a vocalist in the big city after her old boyfriend Ren (Ryuhei Matsuda) left both her and their old band for greener pastures. After meeting in a series of 7-related coincidences, the girls move in together and begin setting up their new lives.

The author begins by taking readers to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where he provides them with the family lineage for Nana beginning with her grandparents. He describes the rural, farming village of Glendale where Nana was born on May 20, 1902. The background of the family is presented interestingly enough to appeal to all readers which demonstrates the author’s talent and is pertinent to understanding Nana as well as the other family members. Mr. Gillis is obviously proud of his heritage and plans a future visit to Glendale.
