  1. John Hurt
With his smoky voice, wiry frame and pinched countenance, John Hurt is the living example of an actor overcoming his physical limitations to project brilliantly his characters' inner turmoil. The son of a clergyman, Hurt was training to be a painter at St. Martin's School Of Art when he became interested in acting and joined RADA. His first Oscar nomination came for his supporting role in Alan Parker's Midnight Express after a decade of quality work in theatre and television. After his portrayal of John Merrick in The Elephant Man, the world was in no doubt of his chameleon skills. Alien, 1984, Scandal and Rob Roy are a few highlights of a career that has not included even one ill-chosen role or off-key performance.
  2. Catfish
Catfish are a fascinating and diverse group of fish which have become hugely popular as aquarium fish. They range from the tiny Otocinclus to giants like the Red-Tailed catfish. All catfish possess one or more pairs of barbels, one of their most distinguishing features. Catfish are ... scaleless, and some are protected instead by 'armour' consisting of bony plates. The variety of size and form of catfish means there is a species to suit almost any aquarium setup.
  3. Bugsy -- Bugsy Siegel
Bugsy is a character study of mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel wrapped up in a gangster movie. Siegel (Warren Beatty in a flashy performance) arrives in California in the Forties, assigned to oversee the L.A. rackets. He is quickly seduced by both the glamour of Hollywood and actress Virginia Hill (Annette Bening), whom he romances despite being unable to leave his wife and children. Siegel soon has a vision to transform a barren stretch of Nevada desert into an oasis of gambling and entertainment -- the seeds from which Las Vegas was sown. Funded by his gangster bosses, including Meyer Lansky (Ben Kingsley), the flamboyant Siegel sees his budget soar past its original $6 million, a problem compounded by the fact that Virginia has embezzled $2 million of it. In trouble with his superiors, Siegel flies back to L.A.
