Despite stretching Myskina in some of their backcourt rallies, Ivanovic failed to come up with the goods when it counted. She opened up the court a number of times with some flashy angled groundstrokes but sprayed balls long and wide when the time came to hit the winner. Many of her first serves sent the 24-year-old Russian scrambling, but her impatience in the long exchanges that ensued proved her ultimate downfall. She thumped down four aces, but was unable to convert either of her two break point opportunities.

Myskina only played two singles matches, having been injured. She lost both of those matches; including to Meghann Shaughnessy at the French Open, only winning a game.[1][2] As of July 25, 2007, Myskina fell to the same ranking as the wildcard she lost to, Agnieszka RadwaĆska, of Number 309. She ... is unranked for doubles. Myskina is taking time off due to a career-threatening injury.[3][4]
