A new RISC OS MSN chat client was released for free tonight for brave punters to test drive. Dubbed Parmesan by developer Christian Ludlam, the software allows people to chat to each other in real-time over the Internet - ideally enabling RISC OS punters to converse with buddies using Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and other computer platforms.

MSNBC offers two kinds of Chat experiences. NewsChat is an open forum for people to discuss the news with others. Event Chats are online encounters with special guests — newsmakers, authors, entertainers and experts. Often, out of respect for a high-profile guest, Event Chats are conducted in a virtual auditorium, where cross-talk is silenced and only chatters’ questions and guest answers are visible. On other occasions... chatter comments are visible during Event Chats.

MSN chatrooms are the worst, most boring, featureless chatrooms on the web. Charging for them just gives people a better excuse to use yahoo. MSN chat is moderated so if you say vagina too many times you get kicked off. Who the hell wants to chat in a Billified Nazi community when you have many other free...truely free alternatives. Hacking and security issues will rmain forever and as for the sick child molesters of this planet, unfortunately nothing will stop them aside from execution. But anyhow MSN chat sucks, has always sucked and will continue to do so. If your just into text theres always irc and if your into voice and video just get yahoo...its packed with people and features, yahoos software may suck a** but its only a damn chat client its not like its that important, just deal with it, use java or get yahelite.

When using the multi-chat with MSN, the window "MSN chat" opens properly, and it works well. But at some point (after something like 30 min or more) the window does not show much activity, the reason being that people do not see your comments any more, and you do not see all the other messages !!
