It is responsible for intelligence collection, counter-terrorism, and covert action, including paramilitary activities, some of questionable legality. The Institute is a component of Israel Secret Intelligence Service and is separate from Military Intelligence Aman and the General Security Service Shabak.

The Mossad is responsible for intelligence collection, counter-terrorism, covert operations such as paramilitary activities, and the facilitation of aliyah where it is banned. It is one of the main Intelligence Community entities in Israel (along with Aman (military intelligence) and Shin Bet (internal security)), but its director reports directly to the Prime Minister. Its role and function is similar to that of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (ASIS) in their respective countries.

The Mossad was formed in December 1949 as the "Central Institute for Coordination", at the recommendation of Reuven Shiloah to Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. Shiloah wanted a central body to coordinate and improve cooperation between the existing security services — the army's intelligence department (AMAN), the General Security Service (GSS or "Shin Bet") and the foreign office's "political department". In March 1951, it was reorganized and made a part of the prime minister's office, reporting directly to the prime minister. Its current staff is estimated at 1,200. Its motto is be-'éyn tahbūlōt yīpōl `ām; ū-teshū`āh be-rōv yo'éts (Hebrew: באין תחבולות יפול עם, ותשועה ברוב יועץ, "14"For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure." - Proverbs XI, 14).

Its successes include the capture of former Nazi leaders, most notably Adolf Eichmann, as well as numerous triumphs of intelligence-gathering that contributed to Israeli victory in the 1967 Six-Day War. Mossad ... conducted the legendary raid at Entebbe, Uganda, in which it rescued the passengers and crew of a French jetliner hijacked by Palestinian terrorists. Yet, Mossad has often come under criticism for perceived excessive actions against Israel's many enemies.

Although the Mossad has been caught perpetrating fake terrorist operations, most people still don't know about it. It is often asserted that Israel and Zionism are in fact themselves patsies of the Anglo-American establishment, but given the fact that Talmudic Zionists like the Rothschilds have controlled international central banking and freemasonry for centuries, I am not convinced of that hypothesis, though I include it here for balance. Interestingly, at the very core of secret Freemasonry doctrine is what is known as British Israelism, an assertion that the British are in fact a lost tribe of Israel and that as such Britain is included in the proverbial covenant of the Chosen People. Who is at the top of the Pyramid? Why, Lucifer himself of course, whether you acknowledge it metaphorically or literally. All the "identifiable groups" are expendable within the divide and conquer methodology.
