1. Mosquito Control -- Mosquito Populations
   The City of Auburn has maintained a mosquito control program for many years that has included inspection of potential breeding sites for mosquitoes and informing residents of ways to reduce the mosquito population. In addition, the City frequently sprays along creek beds, behind residences (at the owners’ request), and larvicide all retention ponds that contain water. The City is currently implementing a mosquito mister program. The misting program will apply insecticides as an ultra low volume spray. 
2. Mosquito Trap -- Mosquito Traps
   The Mosquito Trap utilizes the documented attractiveness of carbon dioxide (CO2), moisture, body temperature (thermal imaging), color, shape and airflow in an effective design that captures and kills mosquitoes. Similar traps have been in use for years by universities, state monitoring programs and researchers around the world. 3. Mosquito Magnet
   In the large cage trials, in which the CO2baited Mega-Catch™ trap and the Mosquito Magnet™ Pro were in direct competition in the same cage, the Mega-Catch™ captured almost twice as many Ae. aegypti as the Pro. In the one test with Oc. taeniorhynchus... the Pro caught slightly more mosquitoes than the Mega-Catch™ trap. The opposite occurred in the one test with Cx. quinquefasciatus. More direct competition studies between these two trap types are needed with a greater diversity of species. Based on the performance of the Mega-Catch™ trap without CO2, when tested alone in the cage, it would be very interesting to conduct direct competition between this configuration and the Pro trap in future cage studies.

5. Malaria -- Mosquitos
   Malaria transmission occurs primarily between dusk and dawn. The risk of malaria depends on the traveler's itinerary, the duration of travel, and the place where the traveler will spend the evenings and nights. Protective measures include remaining in well-screened areas, using mosquito nets, and wearing protective clothes that cover most of the body. Insect repellent should be used on exposed skin. The most effective repellents contain DEET. The effect should last for about 4 hours.
6. Mosquito Trap
   Mosquito Trap #3 is a very effective system that releases attractants that mosquitoes seek for so as to catch them. It is a good choice for pest control in construction sites, country area and housing estate. The mosquitoes will be nowhere near you.
7. Mosquito Magnet -- Mosquito Magnet Defender
   The Mosquito Magnet Defender is an expensive proposition. In addition to its upfront price tag, you will need to replace the octenol cartridge about once a month as well as the propane, in addition to cleaning out the unit. It’s probably worth the price ... depending on how much the mosquitoes are "bugging" you.
8. Mosquito Control -- Mosquito Control Division
   The Mosquito Control division provides control of disease-transmitting and nuisance mosquitoes throughout Orange County. Severalmethods are used, including eliminating mosquito breeding sites and using safe, environmentally-sound, bio-control agents. All insecticides are approvedby the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the State of Florida.
9. Mosquito Magnet -- Yard
   Whether you'll look further into buying insect traps such as the Mosquito Magnet or Coleman's Deleto will depend on how much you hate mosquitoes and enjoy gadgetry. If you can stand a few bites and hate complex gadgets requiring maintenance, the Mosquito Magnet may not be worthwhile. But if mosquitoes are forcing you to beat a hasty retreat from the yard and you like experimenting with newfangled gadgets, a mosquito death-machine may be for you, although it won't eradicate mosquitoes totally.
10. Mosquito Trap -- Co2
    A carbon dioxide mosquito light trap is one of the most effective means of controlling mosquito populations. When shopping for a trap, remember that a combination of CO2, spectrum light, UV light, moisture, heat, and sound work best. The high-end mosquito units, such as Dragonfly mosquito traps and SkeeterVac, have several features that make them worth the price tag. By incorporating several types of attractants, they have a greater effect on the mosquitoes in your yard.
