If this were an American movie from the 1950s it would have John Agar, Mara Corday, and Morris Ankrum in it. The robot would look like Gort or Chani from Devil Girl from Mars. If the brain-eating were literal, the movie would have been made in Mexico or in the late 1950s by AIT (or in the 1980s by Stuart Gordon). If it were figurative brain-eating, it could've been made anywhere at any time since 19 about 53.... Paul W. Fairman would have written the story, published in Imagination Science Fiction; Forry Ackerman would have sold the movie rights to Hal C. Chester.

The police's confusion, of course, touches off a long flashback in which Lorna (previously known as Ethel Whitehead) is shown making the best of her impoverished marriage to Jim (Morris Ankrum) -- an unhappy set of circumstances fraught with anti-climactic sterility. However, the marriage, like Ethel herself, is doomed to tragedy. With nothing more than self-determination, Ethel/Lorna embarks upon a lucrative career as a backstabbing, social climbing vixen. She uses men like disposable Kleenex to get where she wants to go. Eventually her bedroom prowess throws her into the arms of Nick, positioning Lorna as the lady behind a thug running one of the most notorious nationwide crime syndicates.

Ankrum is rather likeable in his semi-heavy role, but he suffers from lack of clarity in the writing of his character. Miss Todd is pretty and reads lines competently. Kennedy is sufficiently menacing as the principal villain.

Now that they know what it is, General Buzzkirk (Robert Shayne) and General Considine (Morris Ankrum) are convinced they can bring it down. After a stock-footage tour of the globe, the monster is attacked by a squadron of jet-fighters. Their rockets prove useless and the monster destroys them all (magically changing the shape of the stock-footage planes when it eats them.)
