More Than You Think You Are is a very slick and well-produced album, and a lot of the cuts here would be great whether or not they were done by this one great band. "Downfall" would be flawless if not for the choir, which distracts from the classic rocking vibe that was set in its beginning. It really seemed out-of-place among the banging guitars and acerbic libretto going on. The latter half of the song is really the only thing I didn't particularly like, but my feelings on it will probably evolve, as I still love the rest of the song. The bonus track uses some of the Latin rhythms the band has commonly utilized.

More Than You Know [I]s made of two intertwined and interrelated stories. The first story takes place in the interwar period, and involves Hannah Gray, a girl from Boston who spends her vacations with her cold-hearted stepmother and her half brother in Dundee, Maine, where her grandparents live, while her father stays in Boston to work. That year, Edith, the stepmother, has rented a house which used to be a schoolhouse on Beal island, off the Maine coast, and which was rebuilt in Dundee. Soon, Hannah hears strange noises at night, and even sees a gruesome apparition that scares her to death. Keeping out of Edith's way and far from the ghost, she meets Conary Crocker, a handsome boy from a poor Dundee family, and soon falls in love with him.

May 9, 2005 4:00 pm US/Eastern Eating low-fat dairy products may help slightly lower the risk of developing diabetes, a new study of more than 40,000 middle-aged men suggests. Each additional serving of low-fat dairy per day resulted in a 9 percent drop in risk. The link could be due to whey proteins or magnesium, ingredients thought to enhance the action of insulin in regulating blood sugar. But those ingredients are contained in high-fat dairy products, too, so researchers said they don't really know what caused the drop in risk. They cautioned against making major changes in diet based on the study.

"More than 80 prisoners have tunnelled their way out of one of Brazil's top security jails, with almost all the escapees still on the run. The inmates dug a tunnel 50 metres long, under two buildings and beneath the boundary wall at Silvio Porto prison. Officials at the prison, in the town of Joao Pessoa in Paraiba state, said it was the largest breakout in the state's history. Only three of the 84 who absconded have so far been recaptured. One man was returned to detention after he was caught mugging a woman on a beach near the prison."
