Montpellier: Northern Europe
built 655 days ago
Montpellier has long been a historic crossroad for European, Mediterranean, and North African civilizations. In the area nearby are Neolithic sites, Roman settlements, walled medieval towns, Mediterranean beaches, and the ecological and wildlife treasure of Camargue. It is a short trip to Barcelona and the gateway to Spain.

All European nationalities and many international countries are represented in Montpellier by active associations. For example, cultural shows in German and Spanish are organized regularly, as a result of twinning with Heidelberg and Barcelona.
