Monk: Recordings
built 280 days ago
What motivates Monk is the desire to find his wife's killer. While he seeks the person or persons responsible, he takes other cases, high profile or not, particularly those that interest him. Things that don't match, people who do things out of character, push him to investigate. At the same time, he is often reluctant to involve himself in a case that would force him to confront a phobia. He doesn't like shaking hands, or elevators, or airplanes. In many ways, Monk is frightened of life.

Monks comprise 1% of all randomly-generated people in the main planet, 1% in containers, and 4% in hell. There is a 4.5% chance that a randomly-generated Monk will look exactly like this, making it the least generated Monk. No one really knows what a Monk is, nor has anyone ever observed a Monk in its natural habitat. Sometimes the term monk is confused with ninja, Illuminati, New Ager, or Obsessive Compulsive Detective.
The Monk Parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus)... known as the Quaker Parrot, is a species of parrot that originated in the temperate areas of Argentina and Brazil in South America. It is the only member of the genus Myiopsitta.

A female and male monk The Monk indisputably possesses the strongest ability for healing other characters. Divine Favor adds a healing buff to all Monk spells, as well as improve the Monk's overall effectiveness. Healing Prayers are generally used for direct healing, as well as indirect healing-over-time. Protection Prayers is the attribute of choice for reducing and even preventing damage. Smiting Prayers allow Monks to deal damage to enemies - especially effective against the undead. The patron goddess of Monks is Dwayna, with the exception of smite Monks who are devoted to Balthazar.
The Monk Parakeet was brought to the United States in the late 1960s as a pet. Many escaped or were intentionally released, and populations were allowed to proliferate. By the early 1970s, it was established in seven states, and by 1995 it had spread to eight more. There are now thought to be approximately 100,000 in Florida alone.

[O]n the 1956 LP Brilliant Corners, Monk was able to record his own music. The complex title track (which featured legendary tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins) was so difficult to play that the final version had to be edited together from three separate takes. The album... was largely regarded as the first success for Monk; according to Orrin Keepnews, "It was the first that made a real splash."
