Monitor lizards have sharp claws that will need to be trimmed on a regular basis, if you value your skin and clothing! This takes two people and adequate lighting to do a good job. One person should hold the lizard in the area around the neck and foreleg area with one hand, and in front of the hindlegs with the other hand. They should ... try to tuck the tail underneath their arm. The other person should clip off only the sharp tip at the end of each claw. This can be done with reptile claw clippers that are available in most pet stores.

Each Monitor, of the ones shown so far, glows a unique color: 343 Guilty Spark is blue, while 2401 Penitent Tangent is red. It is unknown whether each was created with a different color, or if Penitent Tangent's red color is due to some malfunction (Or due to his proximity to Gravemind). The Monitor 2400 should be used with at least a 220 gallon tank. Mid- sized homes tend to use 30 to 45 gallons in a cold winter month depending on size of home, insulation, temperature run at, length you are home, how long below freezing. 275 gallons can take you through at least 8 months to 12 months. Tanks can be oval including 18 inch legs, (220 oval w/legs plus cap $; 275 oval w/legs plus cap $) Tank must be at least 16" above the floor of the stove to have gravity feed of fuel to the tank. Tank must be a minimum 3 feet away from flue pipe.
