  3. Ballista
Ballista boxes are a new invention that have begun appearing through-out the spheres as the weapon of choice for attacking groundling settlements. No one knows who exactly invented these weapons, although many races have taken credit for them. These are war machines that fire a dozen, four foot long missles. The missles are similar to spears, although some users have developed miniature versions of the projectiles that ballistas fire(the ones with the barbed heads). The boxes have cylindrical tubes on the front facing of the weapon, and tightly coiled springs in the base of the box that shoot out the projectiles with devastating force. The rear of the box can be opened to re-coil the springs through the use of hand cranks.
  4. Beach Boys
The Beach Boys’ sunny vocal harmonies are one of the signatures sounds of the modern era. Among rock and roll groups of the Sixties, the California quintet place second only to the Beatles in terms of their overall impact on the Top Forty. They were the Fab Four’s only serious competition on a creative level, too. Paul McCartney has allowed that the Beatles’ masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, was their attempt to rise to the challenge of the Beach Boys’ magnum opus, Pet Sounds (which itself was inspired by the Beatles’ first self-contained album, Rubber Soul). This creative dialogue between the two biggest bands of the Sixties pushed rock and roll to its artistic apex. Recently, Paul McCartney noted that “both [Pet Sounds and Sgt. Pepper] have more than held up.
  5. Argent
Argent Energy is a waste-to-energy business operating a multi-feedstock biodiesel plant near Motherwell in Scotland. The plant currently utilises tallow (animal fat) and used cooking oil (UCO) as feedstocks and has a name-plate production capacity of 45,000 tonnes (in excess of 50 million litres) of biodiesel per annum. Biodiesel is a renewable, cleaner-burning fuel that can be synthesised from an array of oil-based materials including tallow, UCO and vegetable oil through a process known as transesterification. It is a non-toxic, biodegradable fuel that can be used as a pure transportation fuel or can be blended with mineral diesel to create a diesel blend that can be used in normal mineral diesel engines. In comparison to mineral diesel, biodiesel can deliver benefits to both the environment and to vehicle engines where it acts as a lubricant.
  6. Corvus
Most notable of the deep-sky objects in Corvus is NGC 4038-4039, the Ring-tail Galaxy, or the Antennae. A representative of the two percent of all known galaxies called peculiar galaxies, this object is formed by two interlocking structures. The stars involved in a collision of galaxies do not themselves collide, for they are separated by immense distances. However, in such a crash the atoms of the gas and dust clouds do collide, forming pockets of very dense material from which new stars are born. Hubble Space Telescope photos prove that the Antennae is an excellent laboratory for studying the formation of stars and star clusters since it is the nearest and youngest example of a pair of colliding galaxies.
  7. Latin Music -- Latin America
Latin pop includes a number of musical styles ranging from dance and rock to other styles of Latin music such as Tejano, salsa, and samba. Much of Latin pop consists of strong rhythms made up of a fusion of American pop, salsa, and rock elements. Though some of today's Latin-pop stalwarts make dance-oriented music that relies on synthesizers, drum machines, and percussion (Ricky Martin, Shakira, Gloria Estefan), Latin pop can ... show influences from jazz and folk. During the early 1980s, Miami and New York were the hot spots for the Latin dance scene, where songs from the likes of Estefan ("Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," "Conga") and Tejano singer-songwriter Selena ("Ven Conmigo") received enormous radio play. In the '90s, a newer generation of Latin-pop artists began to develop including Marc Anthony, Christina Aguilera, and Jennifer Lopez.

  9. Pumpkins -- Smashing Pumpkins
Of all the major alternative rock bands of the early '90s, the Smashing Pumpkins were the group least influenced by traditional underground rock. Lead guitarist/songwriter Billy Corgan fashioned an amalgam of progressive rock, heavy metal, goth rock, psychedelia, and dream pop, creating a layered, powerful sound driven by swirling, distorted guitars. Corgan was wise enough to exploit his angst-ridden lyrics, yet he never shied away from rock star posturing, even if he did cloak it in allegedly ironic gestures. In fact, the Smashing Pumpkins became the model for alternative rock success -- Nirvana was too destructive and Pearl Jam shunned success. The Pumpkins, on the other hand, knew how to play the game, signing to a major-subsidized indie for underground credibility and moving to the major in time to make the group a multi-platinum act. And when the group did achieve mass success with 1993's Siamese Dream, they went a long way to legitimize heavy metal and orchestrated prog rock, helping move alternative rock even closer to '70s AOR, especially in the eyes of radio programmers and mainstream audiences.
