Missile Command Classic Mode The object of this updated version of Missile Command is simple and still the same. Your planet is being attacked by alien forces who are out to destroy and seize the planet. In preparing for the invasion, Earth has built a powerful defense system. Several antiballistic missile (ABM) bases have been created, and it's your responsibility as base commander to protect and defend the cities. The enemy begins by firing interplanetary ballistic missiles which are aimed to destroy your cities and missile base, and it's your task to stop the enemy before your happy and harmonious planet is destroyed.

Missile Command was a child of the Cold War era. Defend your cities against wave after wave of missile storms by using missiles of your own. With a giant 4" trackball, target your missiles to explode in the path of the oncoming emeny missiles and planes to destroy them.

Missile Command: you control a track ball that targets your defensive missles. You can shoot from three different bases, but be careful: if your base is hit, you loose all of your missiles in that base. Your goal is to defend all of your cities from the never-ending attack.
This is an intial version of a game built from scratch to play like the classic arcade game "Missile Command". Currently, the player has one city, which can fire missiles. These missiles (art is a sphere currently) move towards where you clicked in the game-space and explode when they arrived where you clicked.
[W]hile Missile command looks simple, it's certainly hectic in gameplay. Controlling a crosshair targetting mechanism by way of a responsive trackball (on the arcade machine) or mouse (preferable in MAME as the keyboard is a nightmare!), the aim of the game is to protect the six cities located at the bottom of the screen.
