From an apartment across the way a guy watches and videos as Miriam strips and tries on clothes as her shy friend watches from the couch. The scene had to be inspired by a similar scene in American Beauty as Miriam is the exhibitionist but the guy seems more interested in Erica, who just sits on the couch and watches. Though he does have a bit more interest in Miriam than the voyeur in American Beauty had in the Mena Suvari character. Even the background music sounds like a close clone.
