French chanteuse Mireille Mathieu is classically known for her illustrious French crooning during the '60s and '70s. Born into a stone labor family of 13 children, Mathieu arrived July 24, 1946, in Avignon, France, and as a child she saved her money from working in the factory so she could pay for singing lessons.

Now prefering exceptional concerts or isolated shows, Mireille Mathieu did not walk back on the stage until the following year. Meanwhile, she continued ... to release special edition records for every country—the list of her recordings can be found on the two websites mentioned hereafter. It was in Ukraine that she gave her next concert in June 2001 and Ukraine President Leonid Kuchma himself was present to applaud her. Then on September 8 th, she was in Augsburg, Germany, where she took part in a gala along with many others artists.

La carrière de Mireille Mathieu est ensuite une série de chansons à succès, interprétées dans 11 langues. Mireille compte plus de 120 millions de disques vendus dans le monde.

Ohne die Kraft ihres Glaubens wäre Mireille Mathieu wohl nicht so weit gekommen. "Ich bin sehr gläubig. Und ich weiß, dass Gott mir hilft, dass Gott mir diese Stimme gegeben hat und dass er mir die Möglichkeit verleiht, das alles zu machen. Es ist natürlich wichtig, eine Stimme zu haben, aber noch wichtiger ist, ständig weiter daran zu arbeiten. The sources reported that Mathieu, who is well known in Russia, had been invited to Moscow by Russian authorities and gladly accepted the invitation. They said she would be exited to perform during the concert on Red Square in the presence of numerous state leaders and government officials.
