"Mira Sorvino gave birth on Monday to her second child with husband Chris Backus, her spokeswoman has confirmed. The baby boy, whom they named Johnny, weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces. Mother and child are both doing well. Sorvino, 38, and Backus, 24, married in 2004 in a civil ceremony in Santa Monica and then had a formal ceremony on the island of Capri in Italy to honor Sorvino’s Italian roots. Their daughter, Mattea Angel, was born later that year. Sorvino won an Oscar for best supporting actress in 1995 for her role in Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite.

Academy Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino gave birth to a girl Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. Sorvino, 37, and husband Chris Backus, 23, who are not releasing their daughter's name, are now resting comfortably at home. "They're extremely happy," says a source close to the couple.
