The better microdermabrasion creams are made with aluminum oxide particles as their active ingredient. Aluminum Oxide, Al2O3 , is an oxide found in nature as the mineral corundum. Al2O3 is the only oxide formed by the metal aluminum. The valuable gems rubies and sapphires are composed of corundum colored by small amounts of impurities. Aluminum oxide is inert and insoluble in water or organic compounds.

[M]icrodermabrasion wasn't much of a match for the anti aging wrinkle cream. It's limited, overall effectiveness against treating common skin concerns caused it's defeat in the head-to-head challenge. Microdermabrasion, in tandem, with an anti aging wrinkle cream, such as LifeCell would certainly cover most if not all common skin concerns. As a footnote, LifeCell was found to be the only anti aging wrinkle cream possessing all 6 aforementioned premium ingredients.

If you notice your skin becoming more sensitive to your other skin care products, you are using the microdermabrasion cream too often. Cut back to only once a week or once every other week.
