Mick Jagger: New York

Mick Jagger Mick Jagger perceives everything, including himself, in grand and intensely theatrical terms. His imagination is perpetually active, injecting into ordinary life a sublime vision of an exciting world where more is always better. He finds it hard to be imprisoned in what others call reality without some hope of an adventure around the next corner. A domestic environment entirely focussed on material security and daily routines will prove heavily oppressive to him. For this reason parents need to provide him with some excitement and change - even if this is simply a regular supply of new books or a walk to a different place each day - so that his inquisitive and restless mind can discover something new. Mick Jagger may enjoy stirring up trouble if he becomes bored - not the serious kind, but small acts of mischief such as practical jokes. Even a good quarrel is more interesting than day after day of interminable domestic sameness.

"Mick Jagger ordered a bracelet and my son Colin was so excited to meet him that he delivered it personally," Campbell said. "I donated pieces to the Colorado Film Commission to give out to whoever finishes a film in the state. Billy Crystal and Paul Newman got one that way."

As if to dispel any doubts about the fact that he’s finally grown up, Jagger offers "Everybody’s Getting High," a tongue-in-cheek reminiscence of his younger foolishness. He even pokes fun at his famously sleazy fashion sense. No, the old Jagger is gone, he insists, and the new one is living by "A Whole New Set of Rules" (the closing track.)

[T]hat goes for Jagger himself. No matter how many of those other guys come and go -- Robert Plant, Steven Tyler, whoever -- Jagger remains the one. Rather than rest on his laurels, he is going for the throat. Most sane men his age would be thinking about early retirement. The autumnal Jagger, it would appear, has given up caricature for detail, abandoned the broad stroke for the fine point. He has discovered nuance and found somewhere in his own third act a new source of meaning and inspiration.

Jagger taped scenes for an ABC pilot in which a janitor (Donal Logue) plots to rob a celebrity. ABC will decide on their fall schedule by May 16, with the Jagger pilot one of several new comedies under consideration. ABC is currently short of hit comedies, and has a number of holes in its schedule, so those factors may work in the show's favor.

In 1972, a new fossil snail was named Anomphalus jaggerius in honour of Jagger. Similarly, in 1995, a new fossil trilobite species in the genus Aegrotocatellus, Latin for sick puppy, was given the name Aegrotocatellus jaggeri.
