Jagger ... has an acting career, most notably in Nicolas Roeg's Performance (1968) and as Australian bushranger Ned Kelly (1970). He also appeared in the spin off film 'All you need is cash.' Also known as 'the Rutles.' In 1978. In the early 1980s, Jagger was cast as a main character in Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo, however numerous delays in the film's notoriously difficult production resulted in him being unable to continue due to schedule conflicts with a band tour; some of the footage of his work is shown in the documentary Burden of Dreams. More recently he appeared as a persistent heavy in Freejack (1992) and in art films such as Bent (1997) and The Man From Elysian Fields (2002).

If ABC does order the series, Mr. Jagger is expected to appear regularly, though not in every episode. "We'll work around his schedule," Mr. Burnett said. Not much has been worked out as to how successful the band of thieves might be in their heist, and like the serialized shows that inspired this one, a big question remains about how the series will continue after its first season.

An eyewitness said Jagger visited his Brazilian son at school in Sao Paulo, two days after his band Rolling Stone performed a free concert on Copacabana beach. The mother of Jagger's six-year-old child, Lucas, is Luciana Gimenez, a Brazilian model turned TV host.
