Born in 1980, Michelle Williams is currently one of Hollywood's up and coming actresses. But her real success happened in 2005 when she starred in Ang Lee's "Brokeback Mountain" as Alma Beers Del Mar. A woman who realizes her husband is in love with another man. The talent she showed in "Brokeback Mountain" landed her an Academy Award Nomiation for Best Supporting Actress. Not only that, she met her boyfriend Heath Ledger on the set and they later had a baby girl named Matilda.

Heche, Williams reach for "Prozac" HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Michelle Williams and Anne Heche have joined the cast of``Prozac Nation,'' the picture based on Elizabeth Wurtzel's bestselling novel. They join Christina Ricci, Jason Biggs and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. The independently financed project begins shooting May 15 in Vancouver and Boston, with Norwegian director Erik Skjoldbjarg (''Insomnia'') at the helm. The story centers on Wurtzel's freshman year at Harvard and her bout with depression. Heche will play Dr. Sterling, who treats Wurtzel (Ricci). Williams will play Ruby, Wurtzel's best friend.

Michelle Williams was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting role as Alma in the 2005 movie Brokeback Mountain (starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal). When Williams was a teenager she began getting small TV roles, and when she was 15 she appeared in the feature film Species (1995). She legally separated from her parents before she was 18 to pursue a career in acting, and it paid off. In 1998 she began the first of six seasons on the hit TV show Dawson's Creek as Jen Lindley. The show made her a star, alongside fellow Creeksters James Van Der Beek and Katie Holmes. While working on the series she began a film career that has included the horror film Halloween H20 (1998) and the political comedy Dick (1999, opposite Kirsten Dunst).

Michelle Williams was born in a small Montana town, but her family moved to California when she was three years old, settling in Solana Beach, just north of San Diego. Her mother took her to a play when she was in third grade, and the child was enraptured. "That's what I want to do with the rest of my life", she told her mother. She attended a private, Christian school and took her first acting lessons at the nearby Christian Youth Theater, appearing on stage in Annie and The Sound of Music. By seventh grade, she had an agent, and appeared in an episode of Baywatch.
