Michael has given an Interview and done a photo shoot for Italian Vogue magazine. Is this the start of some promotional activity? Who knows, its nearly a year since his last interview with Access Hollywood.

Discussions between Sony and Jackson are at an early stage and could collapse. Relations between the two have been strained in the past. Sony/ATV has faced problems making acquisitions because contacting the controversial star quickly enough to agree bids has been difficult.

The biggest differences by race and ethnicity are found in attitudes to the charges against Michael Jackson. A 59% to 15% majority of whites believes he is probably guilty, as does a very similar 57% to 17% majority of Hispanics. The replies of African Americans are starkly different: a 52% to 18% majority thinks he is probably innocent.

Jackson has been interviewed for a documentary by the BBC in Great Britain, but, Cole said, the “Ebony” profile is the first interview he’s done with an American publication in a decade. She said she believes the reclusive and controversial star chose “Ebony” because the magazine has had a long relationship with him, first profiling him on its cover when he was taking America by storm as the 6-year-old star of The Jackson 5.
