Michael Jackson's marriage to Lisa Marie Presley took place in De La Vega, Santa Domingo. Many believe that their marriage was a PR stunt to cast Jackson in a better light after allegations of sexual molestation charges involving a 13-year old boy.
The strange thing about the Michael Jackson trial is that the supporting actors are more interesting than the star. The weirdness of the King of Pop is so overexposed that no new revelation can shock. Either Jackson is a complete lunatic who slept with young boys and didn't fondle them or he's a complete lunatic who slept with young boys and did.
Jackson was never charged in connection with the past accusations. However, prosecutors want to convince jurors that the self-proclaimed "King of Pop" has a pattern of behavior toward young boys -- evidence legal experts say could be devastating to his defense.
In 1993 13-year-old Jordan Chandler filed a complaint against Jackson in which he claimed that Jackson had molested him sexually. Evidence was gathered, but the case never went to trial; Jackson settled the boy's civil lawsuit with the payment of an undisclosed amount of money. Media speculations range from $2 million to $50 million, depending on the source. As a result of this payment, the boy declined to testify at any criminal trial.

FEBRUARY 17--During a November 2003 press conference called to announce criminal charges against Michael Jackson, Santa Barbara investigators were asked about the prospect of additional victims besides the Los Angeles boy who had accused the entertainer of molestation. Sheriff Jim Anderson replied, "Yes, there is that possibility and we would encourage the public to come forward if they have any information" about similar sexual assaults.
Jackson’s career went into decline after he faced allegations in 1993 that he had molested a 13-year-old boy. Although he was never arrested, in 1994 Jackson settled a multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit with the boy’s family without admitting to any wrongdoing. The boy refused to testify against Jackson in a criminal trial, and the investigation into the allegations became inactive. Following this incident the California legislature revised state law to require victims of child molestation to testify in criminal proceedings.
