Miami Beach Hotel: Ocean Drive
built 485 days ago
The heart of Miami Beach and the Art Deco District, Lincoln Road, is an open-air mall of 175 galleries, shops and restaurants along an eight-block pedestrian promenade with shade trees down the middle. At one time, Lincoln Road was a posh shopping strip equal to Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. The street was closed to traffic, and in the 1960s, it began to decline.

Miami Beach hotels set the scene with their art deco styling, neon lights and pastel colors. Vice City doesn’t embrace glamour and pizzazz, it invented it. Sit poolside with mojito in hand, watching fashionistas stroll by. Later, dress to impress for an evening of the finest foods and exclusive clubs. It’s Miami Beach, expect nothing less. A quick walk across Ocean Drive provides access to surf and sand. An afternoon of boutique shopping on Lincoln Avenue can empower your wardrobe with the top European labels.

When you think of oceanfront hotels in Miami Beach names like Delano and Fontainebleau come to mind. These are both landmark resorts. The pool at Fontainebleau is where they filmed the movie “Scarface”. And visiting Rose Bar, or the pool at the Delano is a must for everyone.
