Metrowest, a master planned community in Southwest Orlando, is a booming real estate market. With projects like The Reserve at Stonebridge and Veranda Park, a 25 acre lifestyle center including a movie theatre, condos and restaurants, Metrowest is sure to continue its dramatic climb in real estate prices. The average age in the area is 35 years old, and these young professionals enjoy being close to Downtown Orlando, International Drive and Disney. The Metrowest Homeowner’s association has started many projects to increase the aesthetic appearance of the community with projects like: brick pavers on Westpointe Blvd, replacement of Palm trees with rose bushes and upgraded landscaping on Westpointe, and the repaving of Hiawassee. With their city center Veranda Park not being completed until 2008, Metrowest still has a lot of growth opportunities available for the foreseeable future.

CJP’s Metrowest Jewish Community Fund organizers are searching for innovative new programs and ideas to generate even more Jewish vibrancy in Metrowest. Though priority is given to those serving teens, seniors and families with young children, smaller allocations will ... be given to community-wide programming. Grant applications from both grassroots and established Jewish organizations are welcome and are due by April 1, 2008.

Approximately 1200 acres in Metrowest are either being developed or have been developed already with single family homes, multifamily residential or commercial real estate. The remaining 600 acres are reserved for green space, including golf courses and roadways. Veranda Park town center is located on Hiawassee Road in the heart of Metrowest. Veranda Park is a multi-story mixed-use project, which will feature retail, office and residential space in an upscale town center.
The Metrowest travel teams, are based on the concept of advanced opportunities for the serious athlete to find stronger competition and gain exposure to college coaches. These teams will be composed of dedicated athletes willing to make a solid commitment to their respective team and the program.
