Metrowest is an outlying suburban region consisting of high tech businesses and lots of history. Many technology companies occupy office parks along Routes 128 and 495. In contrast, the suburbs extend into rolling countryside with many of the old houses dating from Colonial times, through Federal, Georgian, and Victorian styles.

Turkey Lake Park is conveniently located within Metrowest and hosts the annual Fish Orlando! event. In order to limit fishing pressure and maintain quality, boat fishing is limited (outside of special events) to five boats, Thursday - Sunday from 6:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The City’s boat concession area ... rents fishing poles and sells a limited selection of bait and tackle. These loaner boats are the only way the public can legally fish Turkey Lake from a watercraft.
