Pretty hot on the heels of the highly successful Metal Gear Acid release, Konami has announced a sequel, which is currently already well along on its road to completion. Further capitalizing on the capabilities of the Sony PSP, Konami hopes to push the sequel to an even more intriguing and enjoyable foray, once again pitting Snake in a play style previously unimagined.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is currently in development, with the tagline: "No Place to Hide." It is to be produced by Kenichiro Imaizumi and Hideo Kojima with Kojima ... reprising his role as director along with co-director Shuyo Murata. The game will feature the return of a number of characters from Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

EVA will be returning in Metal Gear Solid 4. She was last seen in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater after betraying Big Boss (Naked Snake). She returns in MGS4 as, of course, her older self. 50 years older to be exact, making her 78 years old. Where her aligences lie hasn't be revealed yet... she does ask Snake to call her "Big Mama" which may suggest something. The Kojima Pro site however does list her as fighting against the Patriots.
