Melissa Gilbert has come a long way from Little House on the Prairie. She's just been elected as the 23rd president of the Screen Actors Guild, with 12,280 votes. Her major competition came from Rhoda's Valerie Harper, who received 10,692 votes in a hard fought and volatile election. The other two candidates, Eugene Boggs and Angel Tompkins received 2,553 votes and 1,613 votes, respectively.
