Introduced in Mega Man X8, the Sirius is the first Ride Chaser to actually claim mobility to flight. Utilized in the "Dynasty" stage, this ride armor simply has a beam blaster to fire at foes.

A: As mentioned previously, the best estimate for the exact year that the original Mega Man takes place (which is extrapolated from information in Rockman Perfect Memories), is the year 2008. This game takes place before Mega Man 2, which mentions the year 200X in its official story. However, Mega Man: Powered-Up! states the year in its official story as the year 20XX, but this is retro-connectivity (mainly because the game was made in 2006, or during the 200X time period). However, 20XX can refer to any date between the year 2000 and 2099, which still includes 2008, so people falsely assume that it must be a year such as 2010, 2025, etc.

Upon returning, Dr. Light had finished repairing the robot Mega Man had found on the desert island. Seeing the purple spheres, Dr. Light confirmed that they were an energy source, but they were not of the planet Earth. Light implored Mega Man to recover all the energy immediately. As they left the room, the robot came to its senses; standing upright, it saw the purple spheres, saying to himself, "He still lives!" Crushing the spheres, it abruptly made its exit through the ceiling of Light's lab. Light and Mega Man returned to see what just happened; Light urged Mega Man to go after him.

Mega Man fans should be pretty happy as Mega Man ZX is shipping today for the Nintendo DS. And to top it off, Capcom has released some new screenshots for the newest sidescrolling platformer in the Mega Man series. In the game, players assume the role of either a human male character named Vent or his female counterpart Aile, who are employees of the Girouette Express, a courier service that takes jobs transporting anything to anywhere.

Mega Man might be old, but he's one tough little midget. Back in his heyday, he ran through a gauntlet of action platformers, foiling the ever-nefarious Dr. Wily and his band of unique henchmen over and over again. Unfortunately, there was one recurring frustration with Mega Man: his adventures had become too repetitive, each new game simply a mirror of the last.
