Mega Man 6 is the sixth game of the Mega Man series and last Mega Man game for NES/Famicom. It was released late in the life of the Famicom/NES, being released in 1993-94. The game introduced the idea of Rush combining with Mega Man to produce a combined form- "Jet Mega Man" and "Power Mega Man."

Mega Man 6 does have some negatives. The Storyline was rather disappointing. The Robot Tournament was cool, but Mr.X looked exactly like Dr.Wily except for the beard. That was way too obvious. Mega Man 6 is REALLY fun but just doesn't have that feel. The Dr.Wily Stage theme was a little disappointing too.

The last Mega Man to appear on the NES, Mega Man 6 is essentially more of the same, which might be good or bad depending on your overall opinion of the series. The billionaire Mr. X has hijacked eight robots from a worldwide competition and is planning to use them to take over the world. As expected, it's up to Mega Man to defeat Knight Man, Yamato Man, Centaur Man, Wind Man, Blizzard Man, Tomahawk Man, Plant Man and Flame Man. All the familiar gameplay elements are here, with the one noteworthy add-on being the new "Power Mega Man" armor that Rush can transform into. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide

Guts Man was another brainchild of the Mega Man Naming Committee. Apparently, Guts Man is a miner. A miner that throws boulders and causes earthquakes. While Earthquake Man and Boulder Man were deemed weaker than Guts Man, Guts Man has a great weakness. He has indigestion, which accounts for his jumping and his number 2 place. To defeat him, you must shoot him with the Alka Setzer Blaster you get from Medicine Man. You can ... make his stomach explode with one blast from the Burrito Beam you earn from defeating Taco Bell Talking Chihuahua Man.

In the middle of the Yellow Demon fight, The Author re-appeared in the comic physically, much to the dismay of Mega Man and Proto Man [37] [38]. He had come to offer help in fighting the Demon [39], not expecting them to have a hard time dealing with it (as suggested when asked by Proto Man why he brought it in), but then remembered Mega Man's stupidity [40]. Feeling that he wasn't wanted in the comic, he teleported out (contridicting his previous inability to leave on his own) without giving any actual help [41].
