Centuries after the Mega Man X series, Reploids fear for their lives, as the Neo Arcadian government is hunting them down and executing them. Their reasoning? You can't have Reploids going Maverick if there are no Reploids to begin with! There's a small Resistance movement trying to survive, but it's not going well. Led by a human, Ciel (a rumored descendant of Dr. Light), the Resistance is getting the crap kicked out of it by Neo Arcadian forces when they stumble upon the legendary hero: Zero.

Containing Mega Man through Mega Man 8, the game provides a comprehensive look back at what was then a fledgling series. And, to add some more spice to the package, Capcom has packed the game full of goodies and unlockables to keep you playing.

TOKYO--With Mega Man's 20th anniversary coming up on December 17, series producer Keiji Inafune appeared at Capcom's stage at the Tokyo Game Show. One thing that can be complained about is the complete lack of representation of the Mega Man X series. Although it can be argued that X is a completely different character, it would have been nice to get at least one game from the series into the compilation.
