Mega Man 6: Robot Masters

During the battles with the various Robot Masters of the game Vic becomes the sole occupant of Mega Man's mind after the original is seemingly destroyed a' la Captain Kirk in Star Trek: Generations. However whether or not this is truely how it happened or just Mega Man and Proto Man reading it in Wikipedia has yet to be revealed, especailly seeing as how it was Vic himself who wrote that particular entry out of boredom.

This game brings back Mega Man's trusty sidekicks Rush and Beat. Rush, your robotic dog, helps you jump higher, fly, and turns into a sub for underwater exploration. He has been given a new upgrade, he turns into a suit of armor which allows you to punch through cracked walls but gives limited range on attacks. Beat, the robotic bird created by Dr. Cossack... rejoins your side, flying into enemies and keeping you from falling down into pits. In this game, you only have to find the letters B.E.A.T. to get Beat to join you.

Beginning with Mega Man IIon, Dr. Wily's main goal is revenge for his humiliation, first on Dr. Light and Rockman, and then the world. Despite surrendering at the end of each game (typically by bowing in mercy in front of Mega Man), he always returns for the next, to try and conquer the world by creating eight new Robot Master s. In some of the games, Wily disguises his intentions by framing Russian scientist Dr. Cossack, framing Proto Man (which led some fans thinking Rock's brother to be evil), impersonating a tournament sponsor called Mr. X or making cover with a fake invasion leader robot named King .

Mega Man finally began a fruitful career on the Super Nintendo in 1993, but not as the same stunted robot gamers were already familiar with. Instead, Capcom began a tradition of reinvention that still holds fast to the series today.

As with all previous Mega Man games except the first, this game features a "transporter room" level, in which you must defeat all previous Robot Masters again. However, this is the first time in which this level is the final level, with Dr. Wily being the final boss of the game (in previous games, the transporter room level was the next to last level, usually with Dr. Wily being accessible from the final transporter, but with one more level to go to defeat the final version of Dr. Wily). This game has a password that would take you to the very last stage.

Mega Man fought and defeated the tough Robot Masters, who were spread out all throughout the world, and then made his way to Mr. X's fortress. After battling his way through, he finally confronted the madman and defeated him. Mr. X removed his fake beard and revealed that he was none other than Dr. Wily. Wily had been posing as the multi-billionaire for an indeterminate amount of time, so it's safe to say that "Mr. X" either did not or no longer exists.
