[W]hat about something new to entice the older gamer who still longs for another adventure with the original Mega Man? "You first think of Mega Man as a kid's game, right?" rhetorically queries Thorson. "Sure, Mega Man appeals to millions of kids around the world. But now there are ... millions of people who have literally grown up with the Blue Bomber. People in their 20s and 30s who played the games when they were younger are still enjoying them.

The newest addition to the Mega Man stable came to the US in the summer of 2007, titled Mega Man Star Force. Taking place in the same universe as MMBN, albeit two centuries later (the year 220X), this tale focuses on a world ruled by waves. Electromagnetic waves, to be exact; the wireless spectrum controls just about everything. This has completely replaced the primitive Net of the past, though Navis still roam about to help people with daily tasks. That's not the only bit of high technology floating around; the world of the future ... has a fantastic space program! Or rather, they had a fantastic space program.

Wily fled to an all-new Skull Castle and Mega Man gave chase, fought his way through it, and defeated Dr. Wily in a final showdown. After the years of fighting, Dr. Wily was finally brought to justice and placed in prison with the proper authorities. As Wily can only, quote, "rule over a prison cell," the world is finally at peace...for now.
