Hollywood actress/producer Meg Ryan not only gained the status of “America’s Sweetheart” for her roles in romantic comedies, but ... critical appreciation. (1989) and took home the second one after playing Annie Reed in the Nora Ephron-helmed Sleepless in Seattle (1993). Ryan soared with the female lead part of Kathleen Kelly in You’ve Got Mail (1998), where her bravura acting earned a Blockbuster Entertainment Award. For her all-out performance, the screen actress was handed a Golden Apple for Female Discovery of the Year, a Woman of the Year award from Hasty Pudding Theatricals, a Crystal award from Women in Film Crystal, as well as a ShoWest Actress of the Year. As a film producer, in 1993, she established a production company with colleague Kathryn Galan, named Fandango Films. The company, later renamed Prufrock Pictures, helped Ryan make several productions.

Ryan's next project is a remake of the 1939 film The Women, which is slated to begin filming in New York City in August 2007. The $18 million remake of the George Cukor classic is being directed by Murphy Brown creator Diane English and produced by Mick Jagger. It's slated for release in 2008. Ryan will play the central character, Mary Haines, a wealthy woman who is one of the last to find out that her husband is cheating on her with a shop girl. The leading role was originally made famous by actress Norma Shearer. Annette Bening, Eva Mendes and Candice Bergen are ... slated to star in the remake.[10]

The difficulty in the Quaid-Ryan union may lie in the fact that Quaid's Saturn(the heavy planet of structure, discipline and responsibility) sits right on top of three of Ryan's Scorpio planets, including Mercury (communication) and Venus (love).
