Meg Ryan Meg Ryan is the perennial girl next door. At least that's been her image for the last few years, until her relationship with Russell Crowe came to light, and her marriage to fellow actor Dennis Quaid came to an end. Despite her squeaky clean image getting tarnished a bit, she remains a fan favorite by ensuring (for the most part) that you leave the movie theater feeling good (or at least your girlfriend will).

Meg Ryan: A Change of Heart In the past two years, Meg Ryan's life changed dramatically. First there was her high-profile divorce from actor Dennis Quaid, which made her a single mom to their son, Jack Henry, now 11. Recently, she bought a restored 1920s Spanish-style house in Los Angeles, which she's slowly been furnishing. Even her hairstyle has evolved: That trademark tousle is longer and shaggier now. But the biggest change in this icon's life has nothing to do with love affairs or haircuts; rather, it's all about attitude and self-esteem.
meg2.jpg In the forthcoming issue of Allure, actress Meg Ryan accuses Dennis Quaid of cheating on her during their nine-year marriage. The New York Post, which got a sneak peak at the interview, reports:
Meg Ryan Biography Meg married actor Dennis Quaid on Valentine's Day in 1991 after co-starring in two films with him. Quaid and Ryan had one child together, Jack Henry, born April 24, 1992. The couple divorced on July 16, 2001. Although Ryan had an affair with actor Russell Crowe, with whom she was working on a movie, both she and Quaid deny it was a factor in their divorce. When the film (Proof of Life) failed, director Taylor Hackford blamed Crowe and Ryan's affair and the ensuing negative publicity it garnered. Some believed this liaison, along with Meg ageing beyond the "cute" persona of her screen characters, hurt her popularity with the American public, while possibly working in favor of her ex-husband.

Meg Ryan as Alice Bowman and Russell Crowe as Terry Thorne. Ryan married actor Dennis Quaid on Valentine's Day in 1991, after starring in two films with him. Ryan agreed to marry him only after he kicked his drug and alcohol addiction. Quaid and Ryan have one child together, Jack Henry, born April 24, 1992. The couple divorced on July 16, 2001. Although Ryan had a relationship with actor Russell Crowe, with whom she made a movie, both she and Quaid deny it was a factor in their divorce. In a 2006 interview with Allure, Ryan indicated that Quaid had not been faithful to her during their marriage.
Off camera, the 57th celebrity in the 1999 Premiere (USA) magazine’s “The 100 Most Powerful People in Hollywood” list, Ryan became one of the jury members for the Festival International de Cannes 2003. In March 2006, in an episode of the “Oprah Winfrey Show,” she stated that she worked with CARE in India to empower women in poor countries. On the other hand, in 2003, Ryan was accused by British talk-show host Michael Parkinson as being a rude woman after deliberately giving one-word answers and turning her back on other guests. Snapping back, she said she was offended by the question about her drastic change from the romantic comedy roles to her part in the 2003 In the Cut. The same year, she ... surprisingly screamed at a shop assistant in the New York store Barney’s. As for her romantic life, after divorcing actor Dennis Quaid, Ryan was briefly connected to her Proof of Life (2000) costar Russell Crowe and was reportedly seeing Craig Bierko as of early 2002.
