Early in his career, Gaye was teamed with female Motown artists including Mary Wells, Kim Weston and Tammi Terrell. At a concert in 1967, Terrell collapsed in his arms onstage, a result of a brain tumor that would take her life and leave Marvin devastated.

The former Tony Soprano will co-star and produce a new musical biopic about the last year's of singer Marvin Gaye's troubled life. The movie will feature 'Law and Order' star Jesse L. Martin as Gaye, and begins production this April.

It was a sad day when he died, just as it seemed that Marvin was on the road to getting his life back together. He was so good that he even made "a certain diva" sound like she belonged in show business !!
