Martina Hingis filed a plea of No Fault or Negligence since there was no way of showing how the cocaine was able to enter her body. She still claims her innocence saying that she received a negative test result on a hair test.

Martina Hingis has failed in her attempt to clear her name of a doping offence. The International Tennis Federation announced yesterday that Hingis had been given a two-year ban after an independent tribunal found her guilty of testing positive for cocaine during last year's Wimbledon.

Martina Hingis is banned for two years, from Oct. 1, 2007, through Sept. 30, 2009 as she was found guilty of testing positive for cocaine. Many including Venus Williams supports Hingis and was shocked to know about the news.

There are dark forces at work here. In November 2007, Martina announced that she had tested positive for cocaine and would retire from tennis once more. Someone clearly couldn't handle the fact that she was back and so they meddled with her sample.
