Markie Post was born Marjorie Armstrong Post in Palo Alto, California on November 4, 1950. Even before joining Night Court Post enjoyed success as an in-demand actress in Hollywood. She made several appearances on series such as The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, The A-Team and Cheers. While Post was the first choice for the public defender role on Night Court, she was co-starring with Lee Majors in The Fall Guy when the courtroom series was starting. The sparks between her character and Judge Harry Stone kept viewers tuned in until the show's finale in 1992.
