Hazzan Propis has appeared with comedians Yaakov Smirnoff, Mark Schiff and Jackie Mason. He has starred in Houston productions of "Jaques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, "and "Hooray for Hollywood." In 1993, Hazzan Propis performed in concert and let Sabbath services in Vilnius, Lithuania as part of the 50 anniversary of the liquidation of the Kovno and Vilna Ghettos. When Mark was twelve, his parents took him to a nightclub. There, live on stage, was Rodney Dangerfield doing his act. At that moment, Mark knew the path he had to follow. "The light went on. I knew what I was going to do for a living." When Mark was 18, he began writing jokes, memorizing them and took the first steps into a career that would lead him to become of the most respected comedians of his day.
