Melbourne, Feb 6 (ANI): Tennis ace Mark Philippoussis has added another model to his dating list - stunning Perth model with Indian roots Siobhan Parekh. Sources say that the couple have been seeing each other for four weeks and have been spotted shopping and lunching along Sydneys fashionable Chapel St on several occasions.

Former finalist Mark Philippoussis and seven American men received wild cards for the U.S. Open on Thursday. Philippoussis has entered only nine tour-level events in 2006 because of injuries. He gets a wild card from the U.S. Tennis Association as part of a deal with Tennis Australia. The other Open wild cards went to Scoville Jenkins, Alex Kuznetsov, Wayne Odesnik, Sam Querrey, Phillip Simmonds, Ryan Sweeting and Donald Young.

After receiving what seemed a lucky break, Mark Philippoussis has himself succumbed to injury at the Australian open wildcard playoff. Philippoussis was forced out of today’s match due to a knee injury. Yet another knee injury does not look good for Philippoussis. Maybe his career could be over. Watch this space for more in upcoming days.
As Pat Rafter said last week, Mark, contest the playoff. If you win, you will have earned your spot. Lose, but show some form and desire, and you'll almost certainly get in at Melbourne Park -- probably Adelaide, too.

December 17, 2007: Another day of mixed messages for Mark fans. First the good news, Mark made it through the to the quarterfinals and is still in the mix for the wildcard. The bad news is how he made it - the luck of mathematics. Mark was supposed to play his third round robin match today that was strictly practice because of Jones withdrawl, but he withdrew from the match because of swelling in the lateral meniscus in his right knee. The math comes in because to determine what two players advanced from Group A meant divided the number of games won by games played. It came down to Groth at .622, Mark at .615 and Klein .600... both Mark and Groth advanced.
