Mark Martin Most recent, Mark has over 11 years experience in higher education as a professor, department chair, and university vice president. He served as Vice President of Advancement and Development for The University of Texas at Arlington for over three years. At UTA he established a highly cohesive and productive development team with a budget of $1 million dollars supporting 10 college deans. During his tenure as Vice President, Mark increased the endowment growth at a rate of 20% annually. For two consecutive physical years Mark led the largest cast gift years in university history including the largest single cash gift. He established and expanded the university development board, major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving programs, web site integration, and fund raising automation to include prospect research and management systems.

Martin captured the Nationwide Series win driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr’s, JR Motorsports team. He did manage to take out his teammate-for-a-day, Brad Kesolowski, in the #88 Navy entry from JRM along the way. I’m thinking the caption should be….
[M]ake no mistake — Martin has as good a shot as he's had in his career. The large majority of his team returns, and Pat Tryson, with whom Martin has enjoyed much success since 2003, will once again sit atop the pit box.
