Hensby has had a brutal start to the season with five missed cuts in five starts. He has been replaced in the field by Gabriel Hjertstedt, who had a nice T-19 at the Nationwide's Mexico Open earlier this month.
"I think a lot of people just take him the wrong way," said Hensby, who was not intimidated by Singh's reputation, just as he was not by Augusta National's. "When he starts being a little bit mouthy to me, I just say, 'What, did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?' I just humour him back."

Top-seeded Retief Goosen tied his World Match Play record with a 12-and-11 victory over Mark Hensby on Friday and will play U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell for a place in the final. Campbell drew even with Steve Elkington at the 35th, winning at the 37th with a par to reach Saturday's semifinals. In the other semifinal, Paul McGinley will play Angel Cabrera.
Hensby worked odd jobs around Cog Hill. He caddied three days a week. He picked up range balls. He took his meals in the employee grill and showered in the public lockers of the club. For six weeks, he slept in the old Ford.

On a day when rain delayed play by five hours 25 minutes, Hensby negotiated the sodden fairways and tricky greens like a veteran, taking the clubhouse lead with a three-under 69. Indeed, given that 1970 Masters champion Billy Casper shot 106, it might be better to say that Hensby merely handled it like a very good player.

Hensby missed a chance to pull even on the par-4 17th. Weir hit his second shot on a slope to the left of the green, but Hensby's second shot ... sailed past the green. Both players chipped within a few feet to save par.
