Mario Party: Nintendo Wii
built 348 days ago
After debuting on the Nintendo 64 in 1999, the Mario Party franchise hits the Wii with this eighth installment. This time, the setting is a circus and all your favorite Mario characters show up to party, including the legendary Luigi and the token, who-brought-the-jerk guest Wario. At least Mario will know who to blame when he finds that upper decker in his toilet.

This is a somewhat useless but fun hint for Mario Party 8. At the title screen, the characters in the game are shown. If you point the Wii Remote at any character, they will talk and make various noises.

In software the biggest seller in June was Mario Party 8 for Wii followed closely by Wii Play and the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games on the Nintendo DS. Here is the Top 10!

Costco stores all around the US are getting in Mario Party 8/Wii bundles. You get another Wiimote out of the deal as well. If you are still hunting down the Wii (which many of you are apparently!) now you have another chance.

Horrible, you will have more fun shelling out 20 for a used gamecube and a copy of an older version of mario party. This game is a perfect example of how the wiimote is not functional for all gametypes.

This template has remained mostly unchanged throughout Mario Party’s life and the Wii version follows the rules religiously while adding in Mii support as well as, naturally, basing its minigames around the use of the Wii’s remote control. These games include such delights as shaking a can of fizzy drink and aiming it to fire at targets and other such variations on concepts you’ve seen in slightly different guises in the likes of Warioware et al.
