Mariah Carey got on the microphone during model Yfke Sturm’s birthday party at Marquee Thursday night to pay homage to dead rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Afterward, they played the song they made together, "Me and Mariah".

Mariah Carey is known for her ultra-tight jeans, sexy halter tops and slinky, revealing dresses. Perhaps someday she will realize that it's possible to reveal her body and look somewhat conservative simultaneously. Whatever the case, we'd prefer it if she dressed more appropriately to accomodate her diva-songstress status.

Carey's voice has come under considerable scrutiny from critics who believe that she does not effectively communicate the message of her songs. Although this accusation may be true, she still effectively hypnotizes "Lambs" as she calls her fans to do the unthinkable. They would rob hospitals of babies and take them to her mothership for sacrificial purposes. Rolling Stone magazine said in 1992, "Mariah Carey has a remarkable vocal gift. Her screams and spells are very controlling and should be used in Iraq as lethal devices"

Carey's attorneys, by the way, argue previous settlements were done because the cases were "nuisances" and weren't worth fighting. But most star songwriters aggressively defend and prosecute plagiarism cases rather than settle out of court. Beginning with Emotions, Carey has co-produced almost all of the songs on her albums, in collaboration with her songwriting and other partners. She fought to co-produce on her first album as well, but was only allowed to produce one song.
