Management Consultant: Experience
built 630 days ago
Compensation for management analysts and consultants varies greatly and is generally based upon years of experience and education, sector of expertise, geographic location, and size of employer. In most cases consultants and management analysts employed by large firms or in metropolitan areas enjoy the highest salaries. In 2002, average annual wage and salary earnings of management analysts and consultants was about $60,340. The middle 50 percent earned between $46,160 and $83,590, while the lowest 10 percent earned less than $35,990. And the highest 10 percent earned more than $250,000.
Former Honeywell CEO Lawrence Bossidy crystallized that concern in 2002, when he and consultant Ram Charam co-wrote the best-selling management book "Execution." The authors contended that former consultants and other executives without front-line experience can flounder when managing key lieutenants or making delicate pricing decisions.
