Mallika Sherawat, one of the hottest actresses of Bollywood film industry , was born on October 24, 1981, in Rohtak, Haryana, India. Her original name is Reema Lamba but as she used the name Mallika Sherawat in Bollywood, she became known as Mallika Sherawat. The word Mallika means queen and Sherawat is her mother’s maiden name. It is maybe to avoid confusion that she used the name “Mallika” because there was already an actress with the name Reema and three more actresses with similar names. Mallika earned a degree in philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University. Before coming to Bollywood, She worked as an air-hostess with AIR INDIA, where she met Karan Singh Gill, a pilot.
