Mallika Sherawat is known popularly by her talented acting and for trying out off-beat, glamorous roles in different films. She was nominated for the ‘Best Actress’ category in the Zee Cine Awards. Shadi Se Pehle, Sivakasi, Bachke Rehna Re Baba, Darna Zaroori Hai are the movies done by her and Don is her upcoming Movie. She has signed one more film with Govind Menon Kis Kiski Kismat, and another untitled film of Mahesh Bhatt. Mallika has not only established her name in Bollywood, she has ... acted in a Hollywood movie with Jackie Chan.

Over 2004 and 2005, Mallika Sherawat appeared in no less than four movies, including Kis Kis Ki Kismet and Bachke Rehna Re Baba. Her increasingly prominent status brought her to the attention of Jackie Chan, who cast Mallika as an Indian Princess in his 2005 action epic The Myth. She caused something of a stir at the Cannes Film Festival, when she arrived on the red carpet wearing an exceedingly skimpy outfit as part of her promotional duties for the film.

Mallika is one Bollywood babe in top demand. After getting an offer from the Playboy magazine and signing films for Rajkumar Santoshi (to be directed by K. Subhash) and S. Ramanathan (... starring Amitabh Bachchan) the hot beauty has signed a film opposite international action king Jackie Chan. And Mallika is the leading lady of the film playing Chan's love interest. The film tentatively titled Time Breaker will be directed by Stanley Tong who directed superhit action films with Chan like Police Story, Supercop and Rumble in the Bronx. Incidentally Lara Dutta was first offered the role but couldn't sign due to date problems.

Not many Bollywood actresses can say they’ve costarred alongside someone as world-renowned as Jackie Chan, as Mallika did in 2005's The Myth. In the years immediately following this production, Mallika largely focused on projects in her native India -- 2007's Guru and Aap Kaa Surroor being the more prominent among them. But it wasn't long before she returned to English-language film via casting calls for 2008's The Aquarian Gospel and 2009's Unveiled.

After winning a small role in Jackie Chan's The Myth, Sherawat appeared at the Cannes Film Festival to help promote the film. It was this appearance that truly introduced her beauty to the world. She became the immediate center of attention and a dizzying array of flashes went off whenever she made an appearance in front of photographers. Much of her clothing appeared to be traditional Indian dress, though explicitly jazzed up to appear much sexier than it normally would.
