Malcolm X: Malcolm Xs
built 631 days ago
Malcolm X had no illusions in the so-called differences between the Democrats and Republicans. “One is the wolf, the other is a fox. No matter what, they’ll both eat you.” In the 1964 presidential elections, when the candidates were Johnson (the “peace” candidate) vs. Goldwater (the “war” candidate), Malcolm X exposed the deciet of this phony distinction.

While Malcolm X remained more radical than the mainstream Civil Rights Movement, his approach and attitude became more inclusive. He met with several Southern organizations working for civil rights, and he offered support for several initiatives led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The two men actually met briefly outside the US Capitol, but despite the desires of many Americans, they never directly worked together.

This story focuses on all of the facts, suspicions and theories surrounding the assassination of Malcolm X and the impact it has had on the world. Like the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, too, had a dream. It began bathed in the tenets of anger and hatred, fostering economic independence on the shoulders of retaliatory separatism. And it ended with the swelling acceptance of a unified brotherhood and the replacement of hatred with peace and of anger with the nagging thirst for international equality for all mankind.
