Within these subject guides, check for professional organizations and societies related to the subject area of your web and individuals or organizations involved in indexing network resources on your topic.

Large lists incur significant mailing and printing costs, but there are economies of scale. A typical newsletter is cheaper to print after the first 1,000 copies. Bulk mail costs vary, depending on the number of pieces sent to each zip code. If an agency wants to blanket a community, newspaper inserts are a good alternative to bulk mailings. New Jersey Transit recently used newspaper inserts to distribute 50,000 newsletters to key communities in the Burlington–Glouc ester major investment study area and 25,000 newsletters to its Monmouth–Ocean–Middlesex major investment study corridor. To reduce spam sent to the GCC mailing lists, a handful of Realtime Blackhole Lists (RBLs) are consulted. If you're sending mail from a site that is listed in one of these RBLs, contact your site administrator about fixing your mail setup. Spammers are taking advantage of your site to relay their spam.

The Bulk Email Sender has no verifiable proof that the recipient consented to be placed on the bulk mailing list and is therefore liable for having sent Unsolicited Bulk Email a/k/a Spam. Action can be taken against the Sender. The sending of Unsolicited Bulk Email is against all ISP Terms of Service worldwide, is illegal in many countries, and is against Spamhaus SBL policy.
