"Bedtime Story" (1995) featured images of Madonna inspired by paintings of Frida Kahlo and Remedios Varo. Madonna was a guest vocalist on the song "Sing" on the Annie Lennox 2007 album Songs of Mass Destruction. The song involved twenty-three female artists joining Lennox for the collaboration. This "powerful feminist anthem" was born out of Lennox's involvement with Nelson Mandela’s 46664 and Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) – organisations fighting for human rights, education and health care for those affected by the HIV AIDS virus. "Sing" was released as a single on December 3, 2007.
The showing of Madonna’s music videos on MTV (see Music Television), a cable television music channel, was a major factor in her tremendous success in the pop music scene over the next few years. Other successful albums include Like a Virgin (1984), True Blue (1986), Like a Prayer (1989), Bedtime Stories (1994), Ray of Light (1998), American Life (2003), and the disco-inspired Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005). Madonna has made several major concert tours, including the 1990 “Blonde Ambition” tour, the 1993 “Girlie Show” tour, the 2004 “Re-Invention” tour, and the 2006 “Confessions” tour. Her “Re-Invention” tour was notable for its use of political content and antiwar messages; observers noted that it was just one of the ways that Madonna was seeking to create a more serious and thoughtful image of herself than the one projected earlier in her career.

Madonna- with Special Guests Beastie Boys And Run DMC Madonna used a mixture of talent, pulchritude and relentless self-promotion to become one of the most famous recording artists of the 20th century. She released her self-titled first album in 1983 in the guise of a streetwise pop ragamuffin, and over time she kept one step ahead of the game by jumping from persona to persona: dance club queen, balladeer, cowgirl, channeler of the Mysterious East. Her other albums have included Like a Virgin (1984), Ray of Light (1998, Music (2000), American Life (2003) and Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005). She has ... acted in over a dozen movies, including Dick Tracy (1990, with Warren Beatty) and A League of Their Own (1992, with Rosie O'Donnell). No stranger to controversy, Madonna has long been a favorite of the tabloids on topics ranging from her racy videos and TV appearances to her sometimes-mystical religious beliefs to her marriages to actor Sean Penn (1985-89) and filmmaker Guy Ritchie (2000-present). Her daughter Lourdes was born in October of 1996, fathered by Madonna's personal trainer, Carlos Leon.

MTV.com Madonna's second album, the Niles Rodgers-produced Like a Virgin, was released at the end of 1984. The title track hit number one in December, staying at the top of the charts for six weeks; it was the start of a whirlwind year for the singer. During 1985, Madonna became an international celebrity, selling millions of records on the strength of her stylish, sexy videos and forceful personality. After "Material Girl" became a number two hit in March, Madonna began her first tour, supported by the Beastie Boys. "Crazy for You" became her second number one single in May. Desperately Seeking Susan was released in July, becoming a box office hit; it ... prompted a planned video release of A Certain Sacrifice, a low-budget erotic drama she filmed in 1979.

Her debut album, Madonna, a collection of dance songs, was primarily produced by Reggie Lucas, who had ... produced for several R&B singers including Stephanie Mills. Madonna felt Lucas would be the producer to get the best vocals from her as he had experience working with many established R&B singers. After finishing several songs, however, she was dissatisfied with the outcome. She felt her vocals were fine but was displeased with Lucas' music tracks. Madonna took the finished product to her then-boyfriend John "Jellybean" Benitez, who remixed and rearranged them. He also added a song ("Holiday").
Madonna Madonna's eleventh studio album is planned to be released in 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. It will be the last studio album released under Madonna's contract with Warner Bros. Following the new album Warner Bros. will release a greatest hits collection (possibly in late 2008). The hits collection will complete Madonna's contract with Warner Bros.
